Dr. Duxbury has received numerous awards in the field of Geriatrics including receiving the Argus Award for Best Lecturer in “Patient, Doctor and Society”. He was also named one of the Best Doctors in America and one of Birmingham’s Best Doctors. Dr. Duxbury has over ten years lecturing nationally and has been published in numerous journals. He is currently the Medical Director at Home Based Primary Care in Jasper, VA. Dr. Duxbury’s research interests include the effective means of patient and community education in geriatrics, the development of cost effective models of geriatric care and preventative health measures in the elderly.
